Yellow Tie Midi Dress | Michael Kors Shoes Similar | Bamboo Handbag | Oversized Straw Hat | Karen Walker Sunglasses

I am trying my hardest to shop on a budget this summer,  so I decided to give Amazon Fashion a try.  Boy, was I surprised! I've bought a couple of pieces from Amazon in the past few weeks - all great quality for a even better price!  This is the first look from Amazon Fashion that is definitely discussion worthy. Can I also add that this dress is ONLY 18$!

I couldn't be happier that the midi dress is shifting back into the closets of women everywhere ...and going strong.  A lot of girls think they can't pull off the longer lines, but girl, yes you can!

Here are a few tips for wearing the Midi:

1. Choose a midi that hits you mid-calf. Length is key! A dress that hits any lower could make you look shorter. Plus, if the length goes longer that mid-calf... it's not a midi. Try a midi right below the knee if you are hesitant.

2. Wear lighter fabrics. Heavier fabrics can weight you down and sometimes make you look, well, heavier. Try fabrics that breath and move. In the summer months, you'll especially want to wear lighter fabrics anyway. It makes for a light and airy look. Let it flow!

3. Select an A-line silhouette with a form fitting waist. You can really accentuate your waist with an A-line midi. Because it fits tighter around your midsection and flairs out of the bottoms, it makes such a classic figure.  Also, wearing the same color throughout top to bottom can really elongate your body.

4. Wear shoes that elongate the legs. Try to avoid shoes that have thick straps and straps that go up your ankles and legs.  They tend to chop you off-making you look rather stubby. You can never go wrong peep toe pumps with this look. The good thing is that the lines of this dress assuredly draw attention towards your feet. It's perfect for when you want to show off your shoe game.  But hey, if the length of your legs is not an issue, try your midi with cute sneakers or ballerina flats! Those can work as well. I love to "casual up" a dress with sneaks!

From my closet to yours, thanks for stopping by.
